I keep coming back to simple heart-shaped chunks of glass – there is something about the smooth curves, heavy and satisfying of glass hearts, and when they are hand-blown there are no sharp edges to cut, just cool depth and solid weight.
This is a range of glass hearts in various colours created by artisans, Jon and Shannon Felix of Avalon Glassworks, in Seattle.
I love the cobalt blue in particular but the amber is also enticing. All the hearts are 3”x3”x1” and they cost $30 directly from Avalon Glassworks.
