This cute little heart-shaped glass bottle could be used for so many things. Fill it with jelly beans for kids’ Valentine’s Day favors; glass beads and jewellery thread for a fun birthday gift; or use it to hold flowers at every place at a wedding reception. It’s only small, measuring 3.25 inches, so the cuteness factor probably outweighs the usefulness, but cute generally wins out for wedding and party favors anyway.
At only $2.25 each the heart glass bottles are very affordable and a great boost to creative ideas for all sorts of gifts. I’m thinking of using them for little Christmas jars of preserves, lemon curd or marmalade, once I’ve worked out a way of sealing them properly.
Crystal hearts have such a wonderful energy that they make great gifts for all sorts of occasions. Children love them – so think of them as stocking fillers, unusual party gifts or collectibles. Adults enjoy them too, so smooth and tactile and pretty to look at, so they would make unusual wedding favours and loving tokens of affection.
Crystal Age offers heart shapes in all sorts of different crystals, from rose quartz (pictured), to red jasper, orange carnelian, onyx, sodalite and many more. Each crystal has different energetic properties, so if you are interested in that aspect rather than just prettiness, read up on their qualities before making your selection.
These crystal hearts are available from Crystal Age, based in the UK and there is worldwide shipping available. Rose quartz hearts cost from £1.99 to £59.99 depending on size.
For the eco-warrior who still loves a dash of glitz, these heart pins made from recycled glass and pottery would make a great little gift.
Artist Nicole Whitney of Paloma Pottery collects broken glass and re-purposes it into a wonderful range of jewellery and household items. The glass almost has the look of a crystal geode with its multifaceted reflection of light.
Perfect as a stocking stuffer or a lovely romantic gift, the heart pins come in various colours from amethyst to forest green and measure 1” by 1”. I love the extra green touch of a selection of packaging options, from zero waste, through biodegradable low-impact packaging, up to gift wrap.
Simple heart shape and smooth stainless steel, this looks like one of those feel good toys that would appeal to adults as well as kids. It’s aimed at little girls who believe in fairies I think, perhaps to emulate Tinkerbell in Peter Pan, but I could imagine it going down well with bigger girls too just as a beautiful toy.
There are no reviews that describe the sound of the chime, which makes it difficult to assess on sound appeal, but it’s definitely worth a try if you’re looking for a little gift to please a young daughter or niece, or a special stocking filler.
What could be simpler and more meaningful than a red wooden heart carved with your loved one’s name and a kiss? Perfect for Valentine’s Day or any other time of year, they could also be used as Christmas ornaments – get one for each of you, and one each for the kids too.
These are individually carved and painted to order. There is a huge range of options including larger wooden message hearts, which can have a romantic message of 6-8 words painted on. There is also a pretty range that would make fantastic wedding favours. They all come from UK site Country Hearts.
The red wooden heart pictured measures 3 ½ inches or 8cm high and costs GBP 6.50, about $10. It’s worth noting that delivery charges outside the UK aren’t cheap, so you’d have to order several items for it to be worthwhile.
Pretty, hand-made, affordable and individual, these blown glass beads are full of possibilities: as little Valentine’s gifts for kids, craft materials to make your own heart jewelry, Valentine’s party favors , the list is as long as your imagination!
The heart beads measure 16mm or 2/3 inch across and come in packs of 5. With the feel of Venetian glass their rich swirls of colour and gold are perfect for making inexpensive gifts that don’t look cheap!
If you are giving them to your kids to give out at school, just make sure that their friends know they are glass beads not candy! Perhaps it would be a good idea to string each one onto red ribbon or gold thread to make little pendants and avoid confusion!
I love the depth of colour in these gorgeous felt heart ornaments: purple, pink and red make for a richness that almost glows from teh picture..
Hand felted from soft merino wool and decorated with red silk fibres, these felt heart ornaments make wonderful gifts for anyone you love. I can see them as Christmas tree ornaments or decorations for a child’s room, as favors for a Valentine’s Day party or as a little gift for a treasured daughter on Valentine’s Day.
They measure 2 inches across and come as a set of two which costs 7.50 euros or approx $10 from Namenia Felt on Etsy. Bear in mind they have to be shipped from the Netherlands, so order early to get them in time.
I guess I’m slow to catch on, as I first thought that these wine charms were to hang on the bottle neck…duh!
They’re a brilliant idea to clip onto your wine glass at a party or gathering so that you know which glass is yours. All that inadvertent swapping of grape varieties (and germs!) is over, as you just clip one of these pretty glass hearts to your glass to claim it for the duration.
If you’re throwing a Valentine’s party these glass charms would be perfect party favors – your guests could use them for the party and take them home afterwards. Or get them as a stocking stuffer or a useful gift for your partner… maybe not the most romantic of gifts, but useful and pretty are good too!
